This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Condition: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There were some pinholes, creases, and tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was paperbacked well, but the backer did not do any restoration to the above pretty minor flaws. Also, after the poster was backed, someone rolled it as they would roll a linen one-sheet, with the image side in, and that caused the horizontal folds to return (normally, paperbacked posters are always rolled with the image side out, so that this does not happen). If I owned this poster, I would likely have it removed from the paperbacking, and linenbacked, which would not be difficult to do at all. Learn More about condition grades
