An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 17 3/4" [36 x 45 cm]) (Learn More) Fools For Luck, the 1928 Charles Reisner silent slapstick comedy (Fields is a poor man trying to convince rich Conklin into investing in an oil field; he does, and the field turns out to be worthless, which causes much anger, but at the end of the movie, they find oil on the supposedly worthless land) starring W.C. Fields, Chester Conklin, Sally Blane, Jack Luden, and Mary Alden. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14" x 17 3/4" [36 x 45 cm]. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair to good. There are stains scattered in the top half of the image. There is an enlarged nail hole in Conklin's chin. There is an uneven 3" tear in the middle left, extending into Fields' collar and slightly into his neck. Obviously, the card needs professional restoration, but after it has it, it will look great. However, do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored. Learn More about condition grades
