An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 10 1/4" x 13 1/4" [26 x 34 cm]) (Learn More)

A Day's Pleasure, the 1919 Charles Chaplin comedy short ("The one and only Charles Chaplin in his fourth Million Dollar Comedy") starring Charlie Chaplin (billed as "Charles Chaplin"), Edna Purviance, Marion Feducha, Bob Kelly, Jackie Coogan, Tom Wilson (a large white man who specialized in playing black roles in the early silent days when studios were reluctant to hire African Americans; he would put burnt cork on his face and skin!; he appeared in The Kid, but not in a black role), and Babe London
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two scene lobby cards (only one in the last 13 years), a 1920s re-release one-sheet (18 years ago), and a Danish program from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this first release title card! We are also currently auctioning a scene card in a separate auction. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Finally, note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10 1/4" x 13 1/4" [26 x 34 cm].

Condition: good to very good. The card had most of its blank borders neatly trimmed off, leaving a small border on each side. The card was attached to an album with tape on the back of each border. It was carefully removed from the album page by a professional (see our images). The blank borders could, of course, be restored, or one could certainly display this great and very rare lobby card as it is!
