An Original Vintage Theatrical Insert Movie Poster (Learn More) The Last Gangster, the 1937 Edward Ludwig organized crime family relationship mobster thriller ("Greatest thrill drama since 'Little Caesar!'"; "--and the beauty he left behind him!"; about a gangster in prison who has a small child, and while he is in jail, his wife leaves him and marries a reporter, and when the gangster finally gets out of prison, he tries to find his son, but he angers his former gang, and they kidnap his son) starring Edward G. Robinson, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Rose Stradner, Lionel Stander, Douglas Scott, John Carradine, Don 'Red' Barry, and William 'Billy' Benedict. Note this was Austrian actress Rose Stradner's first movie. She seemed to have a promising career, but in 1939, she married Joseph L. Mankiewicz and quickly had two sons, and that greatly curtailed her career, which is why you may well have never heard of her! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
