Green silent New York City Jewish family relationship melodrama (about a Jewish peddler who adopts a girl and becomes a very successful auctioneer/pawnbroker, but when his daughter meets the son of a Wall Street tycoon, the Jewish man invests all his money with the tycoon, and is swindled out of it, and he becomes a peddler again, but ultimately he regains his fortune, and his daughter marries her boyfriend) starring George Sidney, Marian Nixon, Gareth Hughes, Doris Lloyd, and Ward Crane. This movie is filled with the biggest cliche stereotypes of the 1920s! You have a Jewish peddler who becomes an auctioneer/pawnbroker, and he is not the villain (as was the case in so much literature of the 1800s), but the villain is the Wall Street tycoon (and of course, two years later, came the Stock Market Crash)!
