Artist: Roger Kastel Important Added Info: Note that, in recent years, Star Wars collectors have come to recognize that the inserts from this movie are FAR more rare than the one-sheets (surely because inserts were being phased out at this time, and very few theaters ordered them). The last example of this insert that we auctioned sold for $675 (and we auctioned an "international" style, which had no ratings, for $536)! Note that this is an "international" style insert (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information. Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Note that this special "all Star Wars" auction began with a phone call from a VERY long time collector of Star Wars posters! He told us that he had reached a point in his life where he was wanting to sell his collection, and he asked if we could do it all at one time. Because he had 174 posters (including many of the most rare and desirable ones), we were happy to comply, but we told him that we would like to also add additional rare Star Wars posters from other collectors, and he agreed, and after we were consigned an additional 117 posters and related items, we have our auction! This item is one of the additional 117 items that we were consigned from other collectors. They REALLY came through with wonderful additional items that really add to the overall auction! Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded.
