An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Romance on the Beat, the 1945 Bud Pollard All American Variety black African American musical ("An All-American streamlined feature!"; "All-Star Colored Cast") starring Ida James (billed as "featuring Ida James the 'Shoo-shoo Baby' Girl"), Lloyd Lionel, Randall Moages, Jimmy Fuller, Hugh Walke, and Tiny Dickerson. Note that Ida James was a "honey-voiced" singer/actress who only appeared in a few movies, but one was a short where she did a duet with Nat King Cole, and another was the classic Hi-De-Ho with Cab Calloway. If anyone knows more about this movie (which was distributed by the All American company, which seems to have pretty much only distributed all black movies and shorts), please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was folded in half, but because the card is separating on that foldline and it is fragile in that area, we will not re-fold it and will send it flat.

Condition: good. The card is separating in the right 4" of the horizontal fold and it has darkened unevenly.
