An Autographed 8 1/2" x 10 3/4" [22 x 27 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) David Prowse (Dave Prowse) was an English actor from the 1960s to the 2010s. He is best remembered for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy (he was inside the suit, but the voice was that of James Earl Jones). Prowse's relationship with Lucasfilm and George Lucas was frayed, and in July 2010, he was banned by Lucas from attending official Star Wars fan conventions. George Lucas had reportedly given Prowse no reason, other than stating that Prowse "burnt too many bridges" between Lucasfilm and himself. Some of his other movies include: Jabberwocky, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (in the title role as the monster), and Callan. Prowse passed away in 2020 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/2" x 10 3/4" [22 x 27 cm]. Please do not bid on it thinking that it is 8" x 10". Also note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by David Prowse! Finally, note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Note that our consignor met David Prowse at a personal appearance at a Milwaukee department store in the 1980s, and he had him sign this reproduction as "Darth Vader"! Condition: good.
