Zanuck in charge of production"; made at a time when romantic screwball comedies were very popular, about a handsome young journalist who keeps trying to get a "scoop" on an heiress to a $100,000,000 fortune, and to turn the tables on him, she announces to all the other papers that she and the reporter are engaged, which is not only news to him, but it means that his paper has been "scooped", and that is only the beginning of this quite funny comedy!) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Loretta Young, Don Ameche, Slim Summerville, Dudley Digges, Walter Catlett, Pauline Moore, Jane Darwell, Stepin Fetchit, George Sanders, and Pauline Moore NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1937 posters from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two inserts and a different example of this one-sheet (which sold for $525) from this movie until we received this one-sheet! Also, note that this poster was one of the posters found in the legendary Royal Theatre Collection, in Canada over 40 years ago. This was the most amazing find of 1930s and 1940s posters ever, because not only were most in remarkable condition (most with paper that was as white as when it was printed), but also because it contained many of the best titles of those years, and there were many thousands of posters and lobby cards in all. Despite these having been sold over 40 years ago, many of these posters have rarely again been offered for sale or at auction. The poster offered here was purchased from the Royal Theatre Collection! Condition: very good to fine. The poster has a tiny pair of staple holes in each corner but it is otherwise in wonderful condition. Like the vast majority of posters found in the Royal Theatre collection (see above), this poster has survived far better (and with much brighter colors and whiter paper) than the vast majority of posters from the same year found in other places!
