An Autographed 1 1/2" x 4" [4 x 10 cm] Cut Album Page (Learn More) Alan Mowbray was an English actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. He was always in demand in Hollywood, for any part that called for an Englishman! Some of his movies include: Alexander Hamilton (as George Washington!), My Man Godfrey, The King and I, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and Topper. He passed away in 1969 at the age of 72. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Alan Mowbray. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this item has been trimmed and it now measures 1 1/2" x 4" [4 x 10 cm]. This autograph (and others from this same collection we are offering in separate auctions) comes from the estate of Dorothy Credille, who was a Hollywood publicist in the 1930s to the 1950s. During the course of her work, she became personal friends and an acquaintance of all the top Hollywood stars, and she collected many autographs in an autograph book (as well as some signed 8x10s and 11x14s). Someone took the autograph book and cut out the individual autographs, and this is one of those autographs from that book. We feel certain that it is authentic. Condition: good to very good. There is discoloration on the left and right of the autograph where it was glued to something. Learn More about condition grades
