An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card #6 (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Out of the Past (released in other English-speaking countries as "Build My Gallows High"), the classic 1947 Jacques Tourneur romantic love triangle revenge crime film noir thriller ("A Man - Trying to run away from his past... A Woman - Trying to escape her future!" "'Don't try to get rid of me for another woman... ...it won't work!"'; based on the novel 'Build My Gallows High' by Daniel Mainwaring; a great story of a private investigator who is hired by a gangster to find his missing mistress, and he does so, but then he falls for her, and starts a romance with her, even though he knows he is likely signing his death warrant) starring Robert Mitchum, Jane Greer, Kirk Douglas (in his third movie role!), Rhonda Fleming, Richard Webb, Steve Brodie, Dickie Moore, Virginia Huston, Paul Valentine, and Ken Niles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this card was personally signed (at different times with different writing instruments) by both Jane Greer and Robert Mitchum. While we can't say for 100% certainty that these signatures are authentic, this card was obtained from a long-time Los Angeles dealer who made a practice of obtaining "better" movie posters and lobby cards and then tracking down the stars to get them signed, and he specialized in getting multiple autographs on individual items. Personally, I feel sure these autographs are authentic, but please do not bid on this card unless you can accept that we cannot 100% guarantee that. Condition: fine. there is yellow tape on the back of the top blank border, but it has no effect on the front; there are the most minor of creases and faint smudges around the edges of the card.
