An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 20 1/2" x 27" [52 x 69 cm]) (Learn More) Plattsburg, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front poster ("Are you trained to do your share?"; "Are you trained to defend your country?"; "The Minute Men of to-day are going to Plattsburg") encouraging people to join volunteer pre-enlistment military training camps. The largest and best known camp was near Plattsburgh, New York. Note that the Plattsburgh in New York was named after Zephaniah Platt in 1785, and that over the years, it has often been misspelled as "Plattsburg", as it is in these posters (in fact, there is a Plattsburg, Missouri, that is named after the New York Plattsburgh, and that city's name was misspelled). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 20 1/2" x 27" [52 x 69 cm]. Condition: good. The poster has wide tape on the back of all four borders, mending tears. There is also longer tape on the back of a 3" tear in the bottom border.
