An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Ian Fleming's Diamonds Are Forever, the 1971 Guy Hamilton English James Bond 007 secret agent spy espionage fantasy action adventure thriller ("Diamonds are Forever Forever Forever Forever Forever Forever"; based on the novel by Ian Fleming) starring Sean Connery (as James Bond), Jill St. John ("as 'Tiffany Case'"), Charles Gray (as Blofeld), Lana Wood (billed as "also starring Lana Wood as 'Plenty O'Toole'"), Jimmy Dean, Bruce Cabot, Lola Larson (as "Bambi"), Trina Parks (as "Thumper", one of the few black African American Bond girls!), and Denise Perrier. Note that the part of Bambi was originally played by Donna Garrett, but she was replaced mid-filming by Lola Larson, and no footage of Garrett remains in the movie, but there may be some publicity photos with her (Garrett and Larson looked very much alike). Artist: Robert McGinnis Important Added Info: Note that, in recent years, James Bond collectors have come to realize that the 14" x 36" inserts for the classic James Bond movies are MANY TIMES more rare than the one-sheets for the same titles, likely because few theaters in the U.S. were still ordering inserts at that time (and in fact, it would not be that much longer before inserts were no longer made). We have been consigned a wonderful collection of 8 inserts from classic James Bond movies, and they are in 8 separate auctions! Also note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It was slightly roughly handled while it was rolled, causing some faint partial horizontal creases scattered in the poster, but they are hardly noticeable from the front. There is a small tear in the background to the left of the bottom of the first "D" of "Diamonds" in the title, with a tiny scratch in the bottom of the "a". There are minor creases in the corners and some faint rippling in small parts of the borders, with a tiny tear in the lower right border that has a piece of tape on the back. In spite of these minor defects, the poster looks great and will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
