An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Big Hop, the 1928 James W. Horne romantic airplane action adventure cowboy western ("Dramatic Thrilling Romance"; about a cowboy who tries to impress a woman by flying from the U.S. to Hawaii) starring Buck Jones, Jobyna Ralston, Ernest Hilliard, Charles K. French, Charles Clary, Duke R. Lee, Edward Hearn, and Jack Dill NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There were creases, tears, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster, and someone put a few pieces of tape on the back of the borders, and it has bled through to the front. There was a 7" tear in the left of the bottom border (going through the word "Directed"), and that was taped from the back, and that tape has not bled through to the front. There is paper loss above the bottom crossfold and some tiny bits of paper loss in the vertical foldline between the top and bottom crossfolds. While this poster obviously has clear defects as noted above, it is also true that a talented restorer can linenback this poster and touch up those defects (which are not in important areas of the poster, except for the tiny paper loss in the "C" of "Buck"), and after proper restoration, the poster will look great! One might consider waiting for a better example of this poster, but I have only once seen it before, and I don't know that any other examples of this poster exist! Learn More about condition grades
