An Original Vintage Comic Book (measures 8 1/4" x 10 3/4" [21 x 27 cm]) (Learn More) Mr. A, the 1973 Steve Ditko action hero comic book ("When is a man to be judged evil?"). In 1973, comic book fan Joe Brancatelli approached Steve Ditko with the idea of publishing his "Mr. A" strips into a self-published comic book. Ditko agreed, and Brancatelli published the comic himself. A year later, he realized he did not have the ability to distribute them, so he sold out his remaining supply to Bruce Hershenson, who published three more comics with Mr. Ditko: first, "The Avenging World", then "WHA...?" (marked "D. #3", because it was the third of these books, counting the Joe Brancatelli issue), and finally "Mr. A #2", a sequel to the above comic. That was the last of the series, due to not enough sales to support the venture. Artist: Steve Ditko Important Added Info: Please note that we don't use a "comic guide" grading system, and OUR grading scale is completely different from standard comic book grading. Our "very good" is completely different from a comic book graded "very good". We provide images of the comic book covers, plus one or more interior 2-page spreads, which should allow you to get a sense of the condition of this comic book. Condition: very good.
