An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/4" x 29 3/4" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More)

Estranho Mundo (released in the U.S. in 1952 as "Strange World"), the 1950 Franz Eichhorn Argentinean/Brazilian/German Amazon Jungle natives mondo exploitation adventure pseudo-documentary ("Thousands of Thrills!!! From the never-before-filmed jungles of the Matto Grosso!"; "-Savage Danger! -Fabulous Treasure! -Primitive Love!"; "See the feared Pirana fish devour a living man!"; "See! The secret rites of tribes untouched by civilization!"; "Three men died in the making in the never-before-filmed jungles of the Matto Grosso!"; "See a giant Anaconda, the world's largest snake, crushing its living victim!"; "See the fierce head hunters of the Amazon in berserk frenzy!"; "The unimagined dangers of the never-before-filmed jungles of the Matto Grasso!") starring Angelika Hauff, Helmuth Schneider (billed as "Alexander Carlos" on some posters), America Cabral, Carmen Brown, and Kumatzaikuma. Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that this film was a co-production between Brazil, Germany and Argentina. It was first released in 1950 in Argentina, and a few months later in Brazil (both times distributed by the local branches of Estudios San Miguel). This version was longer and featured a sub-plot which was filmed in Argentina with Argentinean actors. When it was first released in Germany in 1951 and in the U.S. in 1952, the sub-plot was removed.
