Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Eyes in the Night, the 1942 Fred Zinnemann canine dog blind detective spy espionage mystery crime thriller ("Startling as a scream!") starring Edward Arnold, Ann Harding, Donna Reed, Katherine Emery, Stephen McNally (billed as "Horace McNally"), Allen Jenkins, Stanley C. Ridges, Reginald Denny, John Emery, Friday (the dog; "Played by Himself"), and Mantan Moreland. Note that the poster designers for this movie found room for nine actors from the movie on the one-sheet, including the dog "Friday", but could not find room for Mantan Moreland (this was not unusual at the time, because black African Americans were discriminated against in movie advertising, just as they were in everyday life)! Also note that three years later, Edward Arnold had also played the same character in "The Hidden Eye", and he was a blind detective with a seeing-eye-dog named Friday (played by the same canine actor), but oddly, that dog made no other movies!
