An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian One-sheet Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 40") (Learn More) Last of the Pagans, the 1935 Richard Thorpe romantic South Seas tropical island adventure melodrama ("White menace in the paradise of the bride-hunters!"; based on the novel 'Typee' by Herman Melville; about the exploitation of natives in the South Seas by white mine and plantation owners; in the movie version, the parts of one of the natives and his girlfriend become the centerpiece, and the exploitation of natives is downplayed) starring Ray Mala (billed as "Mala"), Lotus Long (billed as "Lotus"), Teio A. Tematua, Rangapo A. Taipoo, and Chester Gan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the poster has light water staining down the left side of the image, but is otherwise in reasonably OK condition! Also note that this is one of a group of five Australian one-sheets, five U.S. one-sheets, and ten Australian "long" daybills, that were found under a floor in a house in Australia! All of the posters have significant damage, but of course, all of these rare posters could be restored by a talented restorer. Please look VERY closely at our "super sized" images of these twenty posters BEFORE you place a bid on any of them!
