An Original 1968 (from the first release of this movie in Poland) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 23" x 32 1/2" [58 x 83 cm]) (Learn More) The Professionals, the 1966 Richard Brooks (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) south-of-the-border foiled-kidnapping-of-rich-man's-wife cowboy western ("When you want action - this is the one you want!"; "Excitement!"; "Based on a novel by Frank O'Rourke"; "Written for the screen and Directed by Richard Brooks") starring Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Jack Palance, Ralph Bellamy, Claudia Cardinale ("as Maria"), and Woody Strode. Note that this was a "thinking man's" western, with lots of clever twists and turns, and fine dialogue. This was one of the few westerns to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Wiktor Gorka Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was folded like a U.S. one-sheet and there was minor wear on the foldlines and in the borders. There were some tiny dot scuffs in the solid black areas, which may or may not have been part of the printing. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
