The Man who put the Man in roMANce"; "Directed by Alfred Hitchcock Director of 'The Man Who Knew Too Much"; "A hundred steps ahead of any picture this year"; from the novel by John Buchan; perhaps Alfred Hitchcock's best movie ever; there are too many wonderful plot twists and clever moments to describe here, but everyone should see this excellent movie!) starring Robert Donat, Madeleine Carroll, Lucie Mannheim, Godfrey Tearle, and Peggy Ashcroft NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook was folded across the center at one time. Because of this, this pressbook can be sent in one of our standard size packages (if it is purchased together with pressbooks that can NOT be folded, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our oversized packages). But if this pressbook is purchased by itself (or solely with other pressbooks that can be folded), then the shipping will be much lower, because it fits in a standard package. Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! UPDATED 8/20/2010: Note that a knowledgeable collector pointed out that this pressbook was from a late 1930s (probably 1938) re-release and NOT from the 1935 first release. Please do not bid thinking it is from the 1935 first release. Condition: good, NO CUTS. There are diagonal scratches and tears at upper center in the front cover of the pressbook.
