An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Sir H. Rider Haggard's She, the 1925 Leander De Cordova & G.B. Samuelson English silent Africa lost civilization romantic fantasy adventure thriller ("Sir Rider Haggard's own screen version of 'She'") starring Betty Blythe (in the title role as Ayesha), Carlyle Blackwell Sr., Mary Odette, Tom Reynolds, Heinrich George, and Jerrold Robertshaw. Note that there were five silent movie adaptations of this novel prior to this one, and in 1935, it was remade by RKO starring Helen Gahagan, and again in 1965 with Ursula Andress in the lead role! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that original movie paper from the 1935 version of H. Rider Haggard's classic "She" is extremely rare. But even more rare is paper from the 1925 version! I have never seen any paper from that version other than a single lobby card! Offered here is the wonderful one-sheet from this version! Condition: very good to fine. The poster had separation at the top and bottom crossfolds and someone put a piece of tape on the back of each of those crossfolds. There was a 2" tear in the right of the bottom border (entering the black background, but stopping below the "A" of "CORDOVA"), and someone put a piece of tape over that tear, and a small piece of tape above that tear on the back of the poster, for unknown reasons. There was 2" of separation at the top of the vertical foldline, and someone put a piece of tape on the back of that area. There is a series of tiny tears in the right 10" of the top and bottom foldlines. The extreme bottom edge of the bottom blank border has tiny tears and tiny areas of paper loss. Other than the minor defects detailed above, the poster is in really nice condition, and it is hard to believe it is 80 years old! It has no restoration of any kind other than the pieces of tape detailed above, and they were likely put on many years ago, and they have not bled through to the front. I do not know of any other surviving examples of this poster, but if there were one, it would almost certainly be in far lesser condition! Learn More about condition grades
