Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster also had two horizontal folds near the center, with one vertical fold and creases and tiny tears at the crossfold. It had a 1 1/2" tear and paper loss in both the top and lower middle of the right border. It had surface paper loss in the bottom right corner of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
