An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Rough Riders' Round-Up, the 1939 Joseph Kane singing cowboy western ("Sweethearts of the West") starring Roy Rogers (in an early starring role!), Lynne Roberts (billed as "Mary Hart"), Raymond Hatton, Duncan Renaldo, Eddie Acuff, and William Pawley NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had small holes at the crossfolds and creases and a few small tears along the foldlines. The top border had tears, pinholes, and small areas of paper loss extending across the credits at the very top of the image. The other borders had pinholes, creases, and tears. The person who restored the poster did a good job of touching up the above basically minor defects. Overall, the poster looks nice, and the restoration is only noticeable from inches away.
