Important Added Info: UPDATED 11/28/2011: Note that we initially mentioned in the Condition field that, while a new border was added by the restorer, the NSS and copyright info was still there. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and many tiny tears and dots of paper loss scattered down the vertical foldline, with a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. It had many pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. The person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance. This is a common technique used by several top restorers. It is done so well that the majority of collectors are not even aware it has been done, and many do not feel it to be a major detraction. Learn More about condition grades
