Scarlet Seas, the 1928 John Francis Dillon romantic seafaring shipwreck action suspense thriller ("Story by W. Scott Darling"; a sailor in the South Seas on a small boat meets a prostitute who has been kicked off of an island, and he agrees to take her to Shanghai; but their ship sinks in the Pacific, and the two of them and another sailor escape in a small boat; the hero kills the other sailor in a fight, and he and the girl are shipwrecked and fall in love; they are picked up by a passing ship, but then there is a mutiny on the ship!) starring Richard Barthelmess, Betty Compson, Loretta Young, James Bradbury Sr., and Jack Curtis. Note that this was thought to be a "lost" film (which means that no surviving copies exist) but a damaged print was recently found in Milan, Italy.

Artist: Ding Bell
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good. There are a few tears in the borders and some smudges and faint stains scattered throughout the card, including slightly in the stars' faces. There was a semi-circular tear in the upper left of the card that extended into the "B" of "BARTHELMESS" and the background below it. Someone performed restoration to the back of the card without backing it, but they left alone the faint stains and smudges.
