Auction History Result #292 GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD 1sh '65 Stevens Date Sold 1/15/2002Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet (27" x 41") (Learn More) The Greatest Story Ever Told, the 1965 George Stevens Cinerama ancient Rome Biblical religious melodrama (about the life of Jesus Christ) starring Max von Sydow ("as Jesus"), Dorothy McGuire ("as Mary"), Charlton Heston ("as John the Baptist"), John Wayne ("as The Centurion"), David McCallum ("as Judas Iscariot"), Van Heflin ("as Bar Amand"), Michael Anderson Jr., Carroll Baker, Ina Balin, Pat Boone, Victor Buono, Richard Conte, Joanna Dunham (as Mary Magdalene), Jose Ferrer, Martin Landau, Angela Lansbury, Janet Margolin, Roddy McDowall, Sal Mineo, Nehemiah Persoff, Donald Pleasence, Sidney Poitier, Claude Rains (as King Herod), Gary Raymond, Telly Savalas (as Pontius Pilate), Joseph Schildkraut, Paul Stewart, Shelley Winters, Ed Wynn, and "Members of the Inbal Dance Theatre of Israel" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster was originally tri-folded only (it had two horizontal folds and no vertical fold). However, the poster was stored with other tri-folded posters, and a whole group of them were lightly "folded" over, resulting in a very slight vertical crease, and other light creases in the center of the poster (to the left and right of where the vertical fold normally is). These creases vary from poster to poster depending on whether they were near the outside of the group or near the inside. These very light creases would be greatly minimized if the poster were to be laid flat for a length of time, and they are barely noticeable or distracting. However, please do not bid on this poster if these slight creases would bother you! Note that this poster is from the Limited Engagement release of the film (note the "Exclusive Limited Engagement" at the top of the poster). After the film had an extremely limited Cinerama release, it had another limited release in select theaters, and this poster is from that release. Condition: fine. There are extremely tiny faint minor creases in the blank borders and a few in the foldlines. Learn More about condition grades
