An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Thirty by Forty Movie Poster (30x40; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Fat City, the 1972 John Huston boxing sports melodrama ("Screenplay by Leonard Gardner based on his book"; about an over-the-hill boxer, his beautiful girlfriend, and a young up-and-coming boxer; the movie is very realistic and low-key, and director Huston was applauded for making a "modern" movie vastly different from his 1940s classics!) starring Stacy Keach, Jeff Bridges (in his fourth credited movie role!), Susan Tyrrell (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Candy Clark, and Nicholas Colasanto NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster must be sent in a tube that is 32" long or over (which is why it is in this set of auctions). You can tell how long the tube will need to be by adding 2 inches to the shorter dimension of the length or width (so 40x60s need to be sent in a 42 inch long tube, etc). Most of these posters (with the notable exception of paper banners) CAN be combined in the same tube together, with a few exceptions. Bear in mind that a very long tube (42 inches or longer) will cost a lot more to send than a 30" tube, so bear that in mind before bidding on this poster. Condition: fair to good.
