Midnight Cowboy, the classic 1969 John Schlesinger (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) New York City male prostitution melodrama ("Based on the novel by James Leo Herlihy"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; about a naive Texan who moves to New York to become a male prostitute for wealthy women, and ends up in a close relationship with a male street hustler) starring Dustin Hoffman (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Ratso Rizzo), Jon Voight (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Joe Buck), Brenda Vaccaro, John McGiver, Ruth White, Sylvia Miles (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Barnard Hughes, Viva, Gastone Rossilli, Ultra Violet, and Bob Balaban. This was the first (and only) adult movie to win a Best Picture Oscar. Dustin Hoffman not winning the Best Actor Academy Award is certainly the biggest mistake in the history of the Academy Awards!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had creases, scuffs, and "crinkle" marks scattered in the poster, more so in the bottom right background area. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
