An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Nabonga (Gorilla), the 1944 Sam Newfield African jungle ape adventure thriller starring Buster Crabbe, Barton MacLaine, Fifi D'Orsay, Julie London (billed as "introducing Julie London"), Bryant Washburn, and Ray Corrigan (in the title role as Nabonga, the gorilla!). Note that this movie was released in England as "The Jungle Woman". Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this style B poster before and it sold for $653, and that one was only in "fair to good" condition! Condition: fair to good. The poster has tiny tears and a few tiny bits of paper loss along parts of the folds, with a few slightly larger tears and areas of paper loss on the bottom horizontal fold and the bottom quarter of the vertical fold. There is a mark on the left side of the girl's upper lip extending into her cheek. There are pinholes, small tears, and tiny paper loss in the top and bottom borders. Someone put paper tape on the front and back of the top left corner, where there was paper loss and a piece of tape on the back of the top and bottom crossfolds, but otherwise made no attempt at restoration.
