She was born Dawn Eveleen Paris but her mother gave her the name Dawn O'Day early in her career. She changed her name to Anne Shirley during the summer of 1934 after she had been chosen to play the character with the same name in RKO's Anne of Green Gables. Some of her other movies include: City Girl, The Devil and Daniel Webster, Murder My Sweet, and Stella Dallas (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). She passed away in 1993 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this lot contains a positive print made from the negative. We believe this negative was created by a dealer who sold prints of it. Condition: very good to fine. The negative was stored in a plastic sleeve and is in pretty nice condition!
