Bushman (as Messala), Carmel Myers (as Iras), Kathleen Key (as Tirzah), Frank Currier, Claire McDowell, Clark Gable (as a Roman guard; in one of his 14 uncredited roles prior to making his real debut in 1931's "The Painted Desert"), and Claude Payton (as Jesus Christ). Note that this movie was advertised as being "Filmed in its entirety in Italy", but actually, several of the scenes were filmed in Hollywood! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this 1925 first release insert, and that was 13 years ago, when it sold for $1,675! That example was in color, and it was almost certainly hand colored. At this time, studios did not have access to color printing in a modern sense, and they would often have posters literally colored by hand by low wage employees, one at a time. This example of the poster was not hand colored (it is not unusual for posters and lobby cards from this period to be found in both hand colored and uncolored versions). Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but because it has been laying flat for a long time our intention is to send it rolled in a tube. However, because we are certain it would not harm it to re-fold it (because the folds are still there and have not diminished), we can also re-fold it if the buyer needs it to be shipped with folded items. Condition: very good. Someone trimmed small parts of the blank borders, but only blank white paper was affected. Otherwise, the poster only has extremely minor fold wear and it is not at all fragile, which is a big plus for a poster of this age. However, please do not bid on the poster if the slight border trimming of blank paper bothers you, and of course, any restorer could replace the missing portion of the borders if the new owner desires.
