Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline that existed from 1930 until 2001. With American, United, and Eastern, it was one of the "Big Four" domestic airlines in the United States. Howard Hughes acquired control of TWA in 1939, and after World War II (WWII) led the expansion of the airline to serve Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, making TWA a second unofficial flag carrier of the United States after Pan Am. In 2001, TWA filed for bankruptcy and was acquired by American Airlines.

Two have text above "Fly TWA" (one has "Florida" and the other has "Miami"), and the version offered here which has no destination text. David Klein apparently liked the background city art because he created it again for two Miami Beach travel posters.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
