A Set of 29 Original Vintage English Photocards (each measures 3 1/2" X 5 1/2") (Learn More) Charlie Chaplin Red Letter Photocard Set, the set of 29 "Red Letter Photo Cards" (3 1/2" x 5 1/2"), which were distributed in conjunction with Red Letter Magazine, an English movie magazine, which was published from 1899 to 1988. These cards show scenes from films that Charlie Chaplin made at Essanay Studios in 1915, so it is extremely likely that they were made that year, or very soon after. We don't know how these cards were distributed or used. They resemble postcards (and are on a similar heavy paper stock), but they have no printing on the back, and are blank there, so we don't know what people did with them (besides possibly collecting them). If anyone knows more about these photo cards, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. Some of the cards have some slight defects, but generally they are in pretty nice condition, especially considering they are over 100 years old! Learn More about condition grades
