An Original Mock Up Poster Design (measures 9" x 14" [23 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, the classic 1982 Steven Spielberg (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) science fiction (sci-fi) alien family fantasy melodrama ("His Adventure on Earth"; "He is afraid. He is totally alone. He is 3,000,000 light years from home."; "Written by Melissa Mathison"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote, Henry Thomas ("as Elliott"), Drew Barrymore (in her second movie role!), and Robert MacNaughton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that our consignor obtained this concept art mock up from Universal Studios, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. It is one of six mock ups that he acquired. Each has a different image, and each has a letter on the back from A to F. Mock ups A and C were approved and used for the film, and the other four were not used (our consignor was told at the time that Spielberg himself rejected them because they showed images of E.T., and he mostly did not want the alien's image revealed to viewers until they saw the movie! Also note that all of the six mock ups have Spielberg's name in the credits three different times. On three of the six mock ups (including this one!), Spielberg's first name is misspelled as "Stephen" in one of the three places (which certainly must have caused some serious embarrassment). These are not original art, but are printed mock ups (each mounted onto heavy illustration board) that were created by the design studio and then given to the producers of the movie so they could pick the one or ones they wanted to use (and, as mentioned above, two of the six were chosen). Condition: very good. There are some scuffs around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
