An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Raintree County, the 1957 Edward Dmytryk Civil War romantic love triangle melodrama ("MGM presents in MGM Camera 65 'Window of the World' 'Raintree County' In the great tradition of Civil War romance"; "Based on the Novel by Ross Lockridge Jr."; about a man trapped in a loveless marriage, and he gets reacquainted with his childhood sweetheart, set against the backdrop of the Civil War) starring Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Eva Marie Saint, Nigel Patrick, Lee Marvin, Rod Taylor, Agnes Moorehead, Walter Abel, Jarma Lewis, and Tom Drake. Note that during filming, Montgomery Clift was in a horrific car accident after leaving Elizabeth Taylor's house one evening (she and Rock Hudson reportedly pulled him from the wreck, and Taylor saved him from choking on his own teeth!). Sadly, despite several surgeries to his face, Clift's injuries were still visible, and his health deteriorated after the crash. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Walter M.
