An Unfolded French Travel Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 39 1/2" [62 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Cote D'Azur Corse (literally translates to "French Riviera Corsica"), the 1940 French travel poster encouraging people to visit the island of Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea. Note that this poster features wonderful Fer Edouard art of a woman simultaneously water skiing and snow skiing with mountains in the background (to illustrate that both winter and summer sports were available within a short distance of this part of the French Riviera)! Note that we found the 1940 date for this poster from a website, but we can't say for 100% certainty that this is accurate. We also could not find much information about the artist who created this wonderful poster, Fer Edouard, but we found reference to him painting as early as 1921, so maybe this poster is earlier than 1940. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Fer Edouard Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French travel poster, which has some of the best art of any travel poster we have ever seen! Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It has a small irregular tear in the bottom border that has a tiny piece of tape on the back, and very minor creases around the edges. It has a very faint partial horizontal fold 1" above the title. Otherwise, it is in really wonderful condition, and the colors are super bright, and the paper is not fragile.
