An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Presskit (measures 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; contains 1 supplement, 8 stills, 12 35mm slides, and more; see below) (Learn More) Saving Private Ryan, the 1998 Steven Spielberg (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) World War II (WWII) military rescue action epic ("The mission is a man."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Tom Hanks (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Edward Burns, Matt Damon (in the title role as Private James Ryan), Tom Sizemore, Barry Pepper, Adam Goldberg, Vin Diesel (in his second credited movie role!), Giovanni Ribisi, Jeremy Davies, Ted Danson, and Bryan Cranston NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very special presskit that was given to a member of the press when the movie came out. It comes in a clear plastic file folder with a string tie closing it, and on the folder is a sticker detailing the contents, which are: a screening ticket to a premiere, 12 35mm slides with caption sheet, 7 8x10 black & white stills (plus one duplicate), a 64-page production book that has a CD-ROM presskit inserted inside, a D-Day museum fundraising brochure and letter. One might find another example of this presskit, but it would be very unlikely that it would include all of these extras! Note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and eight of the stills (less than eight if the presskit has less than eight stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN EIGHT OF THEM (and we pretty much picked eight stills at random).
