An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Sancta Maria (literally translates to "Saint Maria"), the 1942 Pier Luigi Faraldo & Edgar Neville Italian romantic melodrama starring Conchita Montes, Amedeo Nazzari, Armando Falconi, Germana Paolieri, and Sandro Ruffini. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. (not surprising, since it was made and released in Italy during the time the U.S. was at war with Italy!). Artist: Anselmo Ballester Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Note that this is an extremely rare Italian poster from during World War II! Virtually no Italian posters survive from during or right after World War II (mostly only some heavy stock lobby cards, and even those are rare). Apparently there were many paper shortages in Italy during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards! Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and separation in the center of the top horizontal fold. It has some small tears, pinholes, and dot stains around the edges, with a snipe glued over the bottom center. Learn More about condition grades
