An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Rita Oehmen (sometimes credited as "Rita Farnon") was an actress from the 1930s. She only appeared in four movies: Go Chase Yourself, Gun Law, Sea Melody, and Happily Buried. She married in 1941, and retired from show business, and had a very troubled private life. She had three daughters, and her wacky husband asked her if his girlfriend could move in with them! They divorced bitterly, and Miss Oehmen became an alcoholic. Her daughter, Charmian Carr, would later become Leisl in The Sound of Music! Oehmen passed away in 1995 at the age of 78. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Rita Oehmen! Note that this still is from the collection of Robert J. Fieth. He was born in 1923, and as a teenager, he began writing to celebrities in the 1940s, and continued to do so over several decades, acquiring a collection of over 500 autographed photos (many of which are personalized to him, either as "To Robert J. Fieth", or "To Robert", or "To Bob"). We have been consigned a number of signed photos from this collection, the majority of which were obtained in the 1940s or 1950s! Condition: good.
