Artist: Howard Chaykin Important Added Info: Note that this is the very FIRST poster produced for the first Star Wars movie! In 1976, this poster was printed by George Lucas, and then was given away at places like the San Diego Comic Con in 1976 and 1977, in an attempt to get fans interested in the upcoming movie! It was labeled as the first in the series (it says, "Poster1" in the lower left corner) and more different posters were intended to be printed as giveaways, but no other posters were later made.

This item was consigned to us from the collection of southern California based Kevin LaNeave, a long-time 30 year+ Star Wars memorabilia collector with an emphasis on original theatrical movie posters as well as other marketing, promotional, and commercial posters from a galaxy far, far away. It was once displayed in a frame and was attached to a mat with a small thin strip of conservation tape on the back of the left and right of the top blank border.
