Bucquet romantic Depression era newlyweds-in-financial-trouble melodrama ("How much do we need to get married on?"; "She's an eyeful of bliss! She's an armful of love!"; written by Dalton Trumbo; about a young couple in The Depression that gets married even though they have no money, but soon after, the husband is fired for no good reason, and they discover the wife is pregnant) starring Lana Turner ("Lana Turner makes a beautiful bride!"; only 19 years-old and in one of her earliest starring roles!), John Shelton, Gene Lockhart, Grant Mitchell, Henry Armetta, and Grady Sutton (in an uncredited role as the "New Father" at the hospital) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this herald! This is one of a collection of 16 rare heralds from the late 1930s and early 1940s (in 16 separate auctions). Many of them are ones we have either never auctioned before or only auctioned once or twice. The heralds were all printed in the U.S., but were mostly used in theaters in Egypt, so most have overprinting on the back for an Egyptian movie theater. Also, almost all of the heralds have tiny circular holes scattered in the image (sometimes very few, sometimes more). We strongly suggest you look closely at our images of the fronts and backs of these rare heralds before bidding on them, so you can see the location of the tiny circular holes or larger paper loss. We previously auctioned 27 heralds from this same collection, and all but four of them sold for over $20 each, and three sold for over $100 each, with one selling for $700! Condition: good to very good. There are around eight tiny circular holes scattered in the herald.
