A 1949 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Tall in the Saddle, the 1944 Edwin L. Marin cowboy western romantic love triangle murder mystery melodrama (about a cowboy whose friend sends for him to help stop his cattle from being rustled, but when the cowboy gets there, his friend has been murdered, and no one is willing to help him find the killer, except for two beautiful women, who both have an interest in him!) starring John Wayne, Ella Raines, Ward Bond, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Audrey Long, Elisabeth Risdon, Don Douglas, Emory Parnell, Clem Bevans, Russell Simpson, and Tyrone Shapiro (a rooster that was called "the world's most unusual rooster"!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good. The top 1/2" of the poster was folded back at one time. There was small paper loss at the crossfolds and creases and small tears down the vertical foldline. There were pinholes, creases, smudges, and some small tears around the edges of the poster. There were some creases along the horizontal folds. The poster was pretty well linenbacked, for it looks pretty nice from any distance away! Learn More about condition grades
