Buy a Bond and Honor Your Hero, the 1944 U.S. World War II (WWII) War Bond Poster ("Join the Fighting 5th"; "Write the name of your fighting hero on this Honor Roll. Each figure represents a seat in this theatre."; "12 Million Fighters, 12 Million Theatre Seats, 12 Million War Bonds"; "A Bond for every fighter is a bond for every seat") featuring silhouettes of many soldiers. Note that theater patrons were able to purchase bonds through the theater, and then they could have the name of their hero added to the poster. They also were able to watch a special advance showing of movies for free (such as The Story of Dr. Wassell starring Gary Cooper).
