An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Carmel Myers was an actress from the 1910s to the 1950s. She was Jewish, with an Australian father and Austrian mother, but born in San Francisco. She had great success starting in the late 1910s, and she successfully made the transition to sound movies, but because she was then in her 30s, she had to switch to character roles, and she pretty much retired, although she came out of retirement occasionally for a few film parts, and she had also her own TV show in 1951. Some of her movies include: the 1925 version of Ben-Hur, Intolerance, Tell It to the Marines, Show of Shows, and Svengali. Myers passed away in 1980 at the age of 81. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Note that this still likely has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that 160 of the stills in this set of auctions come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of almost his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of those stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
