DeMille, Fredric March holding Elissa Landi Date Sold 12/18/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Standee (measures 39 3/4" x 59 3/4" [101 x 152 cm]) (Learn More) Cecil B. DeMille's The Sign of the Cross, the classic 1932 Cecil B. DeMille early Christians-vs-Romans religious romantic love triangle action adventure epic ("A picture which will proudly lead all the entertainments the world has ever seen"; "Superb road-show dramatic spectacle"; "The First Big Spectacle of Talking Pictures"; "From the play by Wilson Barrett") starring Fredric March (as Marcus Superbus), Elissa Landi, Claudette Colbert (as Empress Poppaea), Charles Laughton (as Emperor Nero), Ian Keith, Tommy Conlon, Vivian Tobin, and a "Cast of Thousands" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the portion of the standee with the title on it is a separate piece that was attached to the bottom of the standee. Also note that the back of the standee does not have any sort of easel backing attached, and it has text painted on it advertising the movie "No More Orchids" (but no image). Note that this standee cannot be folded or rolled in any way, so it must be sent in a VERY large flat package that would be expensive to send. We will pack this poster between four super heavy 42" x 62" boards that we have purchased for $5 each, meaning that the cost of packaging this poster is $20 (because of the expense of the large cardboard). VERY IMPORTANT! This poster will likely cost around $100 total to send within the U.S. via ground UPS (but of course, we will only charge the actual cost of shipping) plus the above stated $20 for the packaging materials (we are also auctioning similar size posters that could be packed together with this one, and if so, the shipping per poster will come down drastically). Please bear this shipping cost in mind before placing a bid on this poster (and it would surely cost hundreds of dollars to send it out of the United States, so we ask that no one bid on this poster unless they can accept delivery of it within the U.S.). Condition: fair. The standee is in MUCH lesser condition. It has damage around the edges, staining at the bottom, and many defects within the image. Please do not bid on this standee unless you have read the above and looked closely at our super-sized image. Learn More about condition grades
