An Undated (probably 1920s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Zane Grey's The Lone Star Ranger, the 1923 Lambert Hillyer silent Texas cowboy western ("Thrilling climaxes of startling realism and impassioned love"; "Single-handed he fights for love and freedom"; "Get him alive"; "A harmonious triangle tried and true"; "The rattlesnake nest"; "A realistic depiction of a fearless fight for love and honor"; "To the rescue"; based on the novel by Zane Grey) starring Tom Mix, Billie Dove, Lee Shumway, Stanton Heck, William Conklin, and Tony ("The Wonder Horse"). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
