An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Poppy Girl's Husband, the 1919 William S. Hart & Lambert Hillyer silent romantic love triangle crime melodrama (based on a Boston Blackie story "by Jack Boyle in the Red Book Magazine"; about a man who gets out of prison after ten years and discovers that his wife had divorced him and married the man who sent him to prison, and worse yet, she fears he will want revenge on her, so she sets up her new husband to frame him, so he will be sent back to prison!) starring William S. Hart (in the title role as Hairpin Harry Dutton), Juanita Hansen (in the title role as Polly Dutton, the Poppy Girl), Walter Long (as Boston Blackie), Fred Starr, David Kirby, and George Stone NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
