He joined them with handcrafted nuts and bolts so small they're barely visible. He carved authentic elliptical spokes for the wooden wheels. He sanded, painted and polished. He added deatails like the matching stainless steel lanters with real wicks. His work was done only when he was satisfied that it was perfect in every detail, a fully functional scale model of an American LaFarance horse-drawn fire engine. The result is proof that pride in craftsmanship is not lost. It lives in those whose work reveals a deep commitment to quality. The people of H.T. Woods keep that spirit alive.
