An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 15" x 39 3/4" [38 x 101 cm]) (Learn More) A New Walt Disney Mickey Mouse, the circa 1932 Walt Disney United Artists animated animation cartoon comedy stock poster ("Presented by Joseph M. Schenck"; "Joseph M. Schenck presents The New Walt Disney Mickey Mouse"). United Artists was only the distributor for Walt Disney cartoons from 1932 to 1934, so this surely dates from that time, and we think it is most likely that it dates from 1932. There is a blank area in the bottom where the title of a specific Mickey Mouse cartoon could be overprinted, a snipe could be glued to that area, or a title could be handwritten. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Also note that this daybill measures 15" x 39 3/4". UPDATED 10/04/2010: Note that at some point, another poster was laying on top of this poster resulting in light blue ink transfer in the top quarter of the poster (in the blank area and in Mickey's eyes). There is also a light ink transfer in the bottom blank area (when you look close, you can recognize that it is Oscar-shaped!) from another item being stored on top of this poster for a long time. Both of these areas of ink transfer are clearly noticeable, but of course, a professional restorer could touch up those areas (but please bear in mind both the ink transfer and the potential cost of restoration when you place a bid on this poster. Condition: good. There is a small area of paper loss in the lower right edge in the blank border and there is a small stain in the upper left edge in the white background and in the white blank area at bottom. There are some minor smudges and scuffs scattered throughout the poster. Fortunately, the poster's defects are pretty minor and confined to border and background areas. Surely after linenbacking this poster will display nicely with very little restoration needed (although I can imagine many collectors would be happy to display it as is!).
