An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Special Teaser Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) The Manchurian Candidate, the 1962 John Frankenheimer political conspiracy paranoia mind control science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("If you come in five minutes after this picture begins, you won't know what it's all about!"; "You must not miss the first five minutes to know what it's all about!"; "When you've seen it all, you'll swear there's never been anything like it!"; "Based upon a Novel by Richard Condon"; about a platoon in the Korean War that was part of a mind control assassination plot) starring Frank Sinatra, Laurence Harvey, Janet Leigh, Angela Lansbury (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Henry Silva, James Gregory, James Edwards, Joe Adams, and Leslie Parrish. Note that Angela Lansbury was someone who entered movies looking middle aged and stayed looking pretty much the same for the next 50 years! In this movie, she plays Laurence Harvey's mother, when in real life she was only three years older than him! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures the same size as a window card (14" x 22"), but it is clearly NOT a window card! It is on a thin paper, similar to that used for one-sheets at this time. It is clearly from the very first release of the movie, but I don't know when and how it was used, as I have never seen another example of this poster! Also note that this special teaser poster measures 14" x 22" and is folded once across the center. Condition: very good to fine. The poster was folded across the middle and there is a 1" tear in the foldline (in the first "N" of "MANCHURIAN"). There are minor creases throughout the poster. Learn More about condition grades
